As per the guidelines, students are assumed to submit their answer scripts to the Open Book Examination (OBE) on the web portal link which is active on the DU official homepage. It is recommended for all the students that they need to write their respective open book exams very carefully. As the system is highly designed which will detect the copying of answer content if a student had used it in their OBE answer sheet.

Previous during the OBE conducted in the month of June of this year, around more than 350 students were caught using the unfair method of coping with the answer sheet in their respective open book examinations. The guidelines of DU faculty have strictly prohibited this kind of submission of writing the answer sheet.

If a student gets delayed around one hour in submitting their answer scripts, then the students can use an additional of one hour to upload their respective scripts on the OBE portal but in this case, students have to attach the documentary proofs (why they got delayed in submitting their respective answer sheets) that evidence consists of 4-5 snapshots in delaying in uploading. The guideline was issued by the University of Delhi.

For writing the answer sheet, students will get a total of 3 hours and in addition of 1 hour for uploading their question paper and answer scripts. Though they can also get one hour more for uploading their answer papers as delayed submission.

Students will keep these key points in their minds while writing their OBE sheet.

  • Students shall write their answer scripts on A4 size sheets.
  • Must be careful while writing the answer, no repetition or copying of content is allowed. (if a student does it their OBE could get rejected or declined by the software).
  • Students shall upload their answer sheet in a scanned file in the PDF/ JPEG format.
  • Differently-abled students will get a total of six hours to write up their answer papers and uploading at the official website of DU SOL’s web portal of OBE link.
