DU SOL Admission More than 2500 Students Applied In UG Course With above 90% Marks in their 12th Boards

There are a number of students who have secured more than 90% marks in their class 12th or senior school certificate examinations. This year too, students who have secured more than 90% marks are taking admission to Delhi University in large numbers and DU SOL is not the exception in this admission procedure for the 2021-2022 session. 

As per the data released by the admission department of Delhi University’s School of Open Learning, more than 2500 candidates have enrolled on various UG programs who have got above 90-100 percentile marks since the starting of the admission process from October 22. Out of them, 429 have got between 95-100% marks with the highest applications for Bcom (Honours) program. 

According to the latest record by Delhi University, 65,000 candidates have secured their seats in various courses while the number of applications received is 1.3 lakh till now.

The largest number of candidates who have applied to DU SOL has achieved 65% while there are few who have scored below 60% marks. The final date of admission to DU SOL is December 15. So, the university is expecting more admissions than before.

The data of DU SOL’s admission department shows that students have taken admission to most of the courses in DU SOL, especially those who have achieved more than 90% marks. Let’s check it out:

  • 142 Seats for BA (H) English
  • 305 Seats for Political (H) Pol Science
  • 618 Seats for BA Programme
  • 567 Seats for BCom
  • 954 Seats for BCom

Top Scorers Got Admission to Various Courses of DU SOL

The highest-scoring candidates have successfully secured their seats in DU SOL to various programs. The category-wise top-scoring candidates and their respective programs are mentioned below:

  • 97.2: BA (H)English
  • 98.4: Political Science (H)
  • 98.2: BA Programme
  • 99: BCom
  • 99.2: BCom (H)

There are at least 19 students who have secured more than 95 per cent marks in their senior secondary examination have successfully applied for admission to BA (H) English, 56 for BA Programme, 41 for Political Science, 135 for BCom, 178 for BCom (H.)

The distance education department also follows CBCS or Choice-Based-Credit-System just like regular colleges. According to Uma Shankar Panday (Officiating Principal, DU SOL) Candidates can easily migrate to regular colleges of the university from SOL. It can be applied vice-versa. 

The admission portal is active now as students can easily visit the sol.du.ac.in to fill the online application form. Details regarding eligibility criteria, mode of instructions, syllabus and course structure are mentioned on the official prospectus of DU SOL.
