DU SOL provides a Master’s Degree program at the PG level. It covers many specializations. The admission process for 2024 will be done through the entrance and merit-based admission procedures. 50% of the total seats are allotted for merit-based admission while the rest of the half-percentage are reserved for the admission processes related to direct admissions. The admission procedure is also open for foreign nationals. Students must check the eligibility criteria before taking admission to the MA course mentioned on the official webpage of the university.

DU SOL Distance MA Admission Dates (Announced)

Admission to this online program in Delhi University’s School of Open Learning starts in July. The exact dates for registration & application form filling can be obtained from the official website for each new academic session. Eligibility Criteria for DU SOL MA

The school of open learning of the University of Delhi was founded in the year 1962 by the distance education act of the parliament and UGC. It’s one of the best educational institutions providing distance education to millions of desiring candidates. At that time, the number of enrolled students are 900, but currently, the number rose by over 5 lakh.

Admission Criteria Applicable For Overseas Students

The eligibility criteria set by the university for overseas students are far different from that of Indian students. DU SOL also invites applications from foreign nationals to take benefits of the degrees and diplomas offered by the university. Fees and other charges are different from the fees of Indian students. 

The eligibility criteria for foreign candidates are mentioned below: 

First of all, they must have a valid visa valid for at least two years in order to pursue and complete a master’s degree program. 

The second thing, foreign candidates are required to register themselves with the FSR or Foreign Student Registry cell of the university. The admission procedure is carried by the International division of DU SOL for foreign candidates. It is recognized or approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. 

Seat allocation: 5% of seats are reserved in each course for the students of foreign countries.

 The students need to refer foreign students section of the brochure as it will guide them on how to take admission to the MA course.

Who is Eligible for School of Open Learning Admissions?

UG Courses

  • 10+2 from a recognized Education Board
  • A minimum of 45-50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Basic Knowledge of the English language.

PG Courses

  • Graduation from a recognized university.
  • At least 45-50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Must have studied the English language at 10+2 or graduation level.

Note: For some courses, the university might conduct an entrance exam & the eligibility will also depend on the scores of that exam.

The process is simple as you have to follow these steps to know more: First and foremost, you have to visit the official website of DU SOL. Then, register yourself for the new admission procedure by hitting the Online Applications tab. Before paying your requisite, it is recommended to choose your subject. Enter your complete details and pay the requisite fee. Follow on-screen directions and download the confirmation receipt.

For OBC candidates, a total of 27% relaxation is provided.

Foreign students should register themselves with FSR or Foreign Student Registry to get admission to their desired course.
